"In the tasting you don't have to look at the bottle or the label or the environment; you have to immerse yourself in yourself to see how sensations are born, and how impressions are formed."
Comment: With pisco acholados, (blended), we must always be very cautious. According to current regulations*, they must be made with more than one variety of pisco grapes. Some producers use up to 7 different varieties. The question is: can you appreciate this? Will tasters be able to identify a pisco with 7 strains? It's difficult. What we value is the quality of the distillate, whether two or more grape varieties are perceived, the balance between them and the freshness of the pisco. I find it very unlikely that a tasting judge would value a pisco acholado (blended), based on the number of grape varieties that make it up.
In particular, this acholado (blended), is well made; would award him a gold medal. My score ranges between 83 and 85 points.
